~Oscar Wilde

I have been an independent photographer in the Salt Lake Valley for over three years now. I have been a professional photographer for the past year and a half. I have photographed everything from children, groups, and family portraits to award winning photojournalism. However, I excel and prefer independent fine art photography. I began my education at Riverton High School in 2003. From 2003-2006, I learned from my mentor, Mrs. Lindorff. My three years under her instruction lead to numerous awards such as Sterling Scholar Finalist in Fine Arts and multiple district awards, just to name a few. While in AP photography, I proved to the AP critics that sports photojournalism can be an art form when treated as such, by getting a 3 on my AP exam. I have been in art shows such as the Utah Arts Council's statewide touring art show and an individual show at the Human Genetics Building at the University of Utah coming soon. I was also the Photography Editor for Riverton High School's newspaper, The Silver Scribe. I was the main photographer, and took photos for all of the sections. I won awards for news, arts and sports photography. I am a junior at the University of Utah. I am studing Biology with minors in Chemistry and Chinese. I currently work at Inkley's Camera and Image. The majority of my pictures are taken on my Sigma SA-7 film camera kit with a 28mm-90mm f/3.5-f/5.6 and a 70mm-300mm f/4-f/5.6. I also have a View Graphic 4x5 camera with a Schnider 150mm f/4.5 and a Holga 120N. I use a Sekonic L-508 handheld light meter. Some pictures were taken with the Canon Rebel XT with the 18mm-55mm f/3.5-f/5.6.
